Jeff Fox

Jazz Host

Jeff Fox is an Associate Professor of English and Japanese at the College of Southern Idaho and is also a working musician who plays guitar, bass and saxophone. He has performed in the CSI Jazz Orchestra which played at the Montreux, Switzerland Jazz Festival and the 2001 IAJE Conference in New York City. He has fronted several jazz groups over the years ranging from an eight-piece little big band to a duo featuring sax and guitar. Jeff has also performed on and produced several CDs for local jazz artists.

Jeff has been involved with jazz radio for over twenty years. In addition to being a producer and host for the nationally broadcast JazzWorks network, he also hosts a jazz show which airs on public radio stations in Idaho.

Jeff's goal in his musical performance has always been to attract young players to jazz, and through his involvement with JazzWorks, he hopes more people will come to know jazz as an accessible and enjoyable art form.
